The Mariners Museum opened up the Monitor section in March 2007 after raising the Gun Turret, engine, and other artifacts off the coast of cape Hataras.
| July 2008: Visited Colonial Williamsburg,
Bush Gardens, Bush Water Park, and the new Mariners Museum where the
Monitor is being restored after being raised several years ago. Also
took a harbor cruise around the Norfolk Naval Yard where many of the
